POET SHAF
THE STORY
Often referred to as the best freestyle rapper in the Hindi language, Poet Shaf is an Indian shayar, songwriter, music composer and rapper who has been active since 2014.
Inspired by life and his observations of the world, Poet Shaf effortlessly blends hip hop with other traditional styles of music, blurring the boundaries of genres to create unique and diverse melodies.
What separates Shaf from the crowd is his off the top freestyle rapping skills. His ability to construct vivid, emotionally resonant verses in real time has left audiences and fellow artists speechless alike.
His work has been shared and supported by industry veterans including Salim Merchant, Badshah, Adnan Sami and EPR.
On MTV Hustle 03, he delivered what became the highest rated episode of the season, etching a historic moment in Indian television by performing an off-the-top freestyle rap live during the battle round.
